Re: Loss of communication

Auto update does not update BIOS or many low level drivers. For that you need to log into the hardware vendor of your machine and check for their updates. I do it from time to time, probably about once a year or more frequently if some hardware is misbehaving.

Re: Logo Desiging

You want the logo to be scalable which normally means an EPS file. This was done for me by the guy that designed my logo not sure which tool he used and that was 10 years ago anyway so things change, I hack at things in Paint or IrfanView.

Re: BasicChip bit-bang serial

SERIAL.bas was done originally with the Stamp sized module when there was only one serial port. Though I admit I too used bit-banged serial for a diagnostic port on an LPC4078 project, as all 4 other serial ports were in use. There has been no work on bit banged serial since the beginning, and not m...

Re: Microsecond WAIT

There is a WAITMICRO(x)

http://www.coridium.us/ARMhelp/index.ht ... Micro.html

WAITMICRO was not in the original version, but was added about 6-7 years ago. Other than the actual TIMER examples I should probably update those.

Re: Reliability of DS18x20 temperature sensors

Oops Sorry

We moved all the code into a git last year and looks like we grabbed the old version of ONEWIRE.bas. There is also a ONEWIRE1.bas which was the original. I'll update the setup files today.

Re: Reliability of DS18x20 temperature sensors

So what ARM product are you using? What does it say in the Welcome message when it boots (that is the firmware version) What compiler version? The BASICtools version, is the GUI, and does not change all that often, mainly to add new features, like allowing for firmware updates, or compiled hex file ...

Re: Reliability of DS18x20 temperature sensors

The compiler version ARMbasic is the most important, the current version is 9.36 or so. (reported in Help->About) The file you posted is missing the #include <ONEWIRE.bas> and does not define the byte arrays OutBytes or InBytes or the string TEMPIN. Also if your code would ever get there, it would t...

Re: CH340 TTL to Serial for programming

I ordered a couple of these and they came in today. I changed the connector from male to female, plugged it in, updated the driver from the web.

And it works fine with BASIC. I have no idea how they can make these and sell them for $1.66.

Re: Datalogger IO Issue

This version of code should initialize all UARTs, as well as make all GPIOs default.

I've done some initial testing.

Re: Datalogger IO Issue

I took a closer look at the C code, and see the issue, the LPC43xx uses USARTs and that is what they are called in C, I added definitions for UART0 and UART1 but had not done that for UART2 and UART3, so the code in firmware to launch them is missing. I will have to recompile the firmware, but I am ...
