lpc812 - dropped character

Post by olzeke51 » Wed Jun 25, 2014 10:17 pm

lpc812 - kernel version 8.33a / your dongle & my adafruit one / ARMBasic 9.33a / latest BTools - d/l on 06/22
BTools.ini reports version 0832 - [see Software Issues forum]

ISSUE: the <reset button> causes me to lose the first character in a print statement
when I <run button> or type in "run" I get a proper printout - two different programs
one is my BLINK8.bas
and the other is what I typed in from the "enter" window
********* // comments added
Executing... // USED THE <RUN> BUTTON

15

... Finished in 0 ms
LIST // USED THE ENTER WINDOW

HOUR = 13
PRINT HOUR
MAIN:
HOUR = 15
PRINT HOUR
END
// USED THE <RESET> BUTTON

5 // MISSING THE '1'

... program done

modified BLINKY8.bas to put the same conditions in the "elif LPC114" that I have in the lpc812 elif
and then ran it on the Basicboard with no errors

This falls into the comm problems we seem to have with the LPC812, which is the slowest ARM we have ever talked to.

Seems like there is something timing wise on startup, which also manifests itself as the firmware upgrade error that you reported.

At least it is another clue.

thanks
