.Net Micro Framework Boards running Interpreter Visual Basic

Post by Foobar » Wed Jan 16, 2013 5:55 pm

As Visual Studio Express 2012 now supports Visual Basic under .Net MF 4.3 (RTM) have you thought about new boards?

Take a peek at this http://www.netmf.com/building-a-custom- ... micro.aspx

Looks difficult to implement at board level; creating the HAL and CLR that is?

It's probably not that bad except for (from their spec sheet) --

The memory requirements for the .NET Micro Framework depend entirely on which features you use. In its smallest form, the framework requires 64 Kb of RAM and 256 Kb of flash memory.

Our biggest parts have just that, so probably not something we'll look into at this time.
